Aquatics Programs

The city of la Habra swim program will be in full swing this summer, with new and returning events! As in the past, there will be swim lessons for children and open swim for all ages. There also will be Dive-In movies, where participants can cool off in or next to the pool while watching a family friendly movie. The aquatics staff will also staff the kids' zone at the Concerts in the Park this summer.

Swim Lessons

Swim lessons for youth are offered at the La Habra High School pool, 801 W. Highlander Ave., from June 11th through August 2nd. The La Habra Swim Program was developed to teach children water safety in a calm, safe, fun environment.  We follow the American Red Cross Learn to Swim approach, implementing the stepping stone method, which places children into the appropriate skill level classes for the quickest possible progression.  Class sessions last for two weeks and are held Monday-Thursday in 40-minute sessions.  The cost is $65 per child, per two-week session.  You can register in person at the La Habra Community Center, over the phone, or online.  Additional fees apply for phone and online registration. Here is the 2018 swim lesson schedule:

  • June 11th-June 21st
  • June 25th-July 5th (no class on Wednesday, July 4th)
  • July 9th-July 19th
  • July 23rd-August 2nd
