The Recreation Division offers a variety of services that include recreation classes, excursions for adults and youth, special events, summer day camp and summer aquatic program, two youth sports leagues, and facility rentals. The Recreation Division also manages the use of City parks by individuals, as well as coordinating the joint use of City and school athletic fields with the various school districts in the City, working closely with local non-profit organizations such as Little League, AYSO, and Pop Warner. Sign Up for Summer Swim Lessons
Summer is here, and it's time for swim lessons to begin. The City of La Habra Community Services Department will offer five two-week swim lesson sessions, beginning on Monday, June 21st, at the La Habra High School pool, 801 W. Highlander Avenue.The City will also offer recreation swim Monday thorugh Friday, 1:00 to 3:00 p..m., and also on Friday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon. The cost for recreation swim is $2 for participants who are 18 and older and $1 for participants under 18 years of age. Children must be three feet tall at the shoulder; if not, the child must be accompanied in the water by an adult on a one-to-one basis. Flotation devices are NOT allowed in the pool.

In August of this year, volunteers, KaBoom!, Foresters and the City came together to build a playground in just six hours!La Habra Teens Study in Comfort and Style
The Teen VIP Lounge at the La Habra Branch of the Orange County Public Library has been transformed into a welcome and inviting space for teenagers. It is described as a "cozy area" with sling chairs and floor rockers. A modern coffee table and bright, sophisticated rug complete the area, and it has become very popular with teenagers each afternoon.
