BREAKFAST WITH SANTA:
Breakfast with Santa is an annual fund raising event sponsored by the Children's Museum Guild. The proceeds go directly towards the Museum changing exhibits. The event is held December 4 and 5, 2010 and is by reservation only. There is a minimal charge. Breakfast with Santa features a continental breakfast, a holiday art project for the kids, and the opportunity to have their picture taken with Santa Claus himself. GOURMET GUYS
On Sunday afternoon, October 17, 2010, The Children's Museum at La Habra will present the 17th annual "Gourmet Guys Raise 'bread' for Kids" fundraiser at the La Habra Community Center. The uniqueness of this event is that favorite dishes are prepared by more than 100 non-professional "chefs". These men include sports figures, celebrities, fire fighters, educators, police and fire chiefs, city officials, corporate executives and the "guy next door". Guests are invited to sample their culinary creations and, to add to the excitement, each dish is also judged by a team of professional chefs. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded for the most outstanding preparation and presentations in fourteen categories. Fantastic food, tempting wines, an opportunity prize drawing and a silent auction combine to make this a truly memorable afternoon for our 300 anticipated attendees. Now, in its 32nd year of service, over 100,000 visitors annually benefit from the Museum's educational hands-on environment. All of the proceeds from "Gourmet Guys" go directly to the quality programs that are provided for our Museum guests.
